This website provides information about our company and products in development. It does not offer direct purchases or user accounts.
1. These Terms
These Terms of Use apply to Concepts Refinery websites and products that link to them. “Concepts Refinery” means Concepts Refinery LLC. Product-specific rules shown in an app or store listing also apply to that product.
2. Store-distributed apps
Apps obtained through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to the applicable store terms. For Apple-distributed apps, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a product specifically states that a custom license agreement applies.
3. Eligibility
Our default products are not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age at which you can enter a binding contract where you live, use the product only with the permission or involvement of a parent or legal guardian when required by law.
4. Purchases and pricing
Prices are shown before purchase in the applicable app store. Unless a product listing clearly says otherwise, a paid Concepts Refinery app is a one-time app-store purchase rather than a recurring subscription. Apple or Google processes the payment. Concepts Refinery does not receive your full payment-card details from the store.
5. Refunds and mandatory consumer rights
Refund requests for App Store or Google Play purchases should be submitted through the store that processed the purchase. Store rules and local consumer law may give you additional rights. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
6. License and acceptable use
You may use a Concepts Refinery product for personal, lawful use under the applicable store license. You may not misuse the service, interfere with security, reverse engineer except where law expressly permits it, use the service to violate law or another person’s rights, or falsely suggest affiliation with Concepts Refinery.
7. Concepts Refinery intellectual property
Concepts Refinery and its licensors retain rights in the brand, software, product design, text, graphics, game systems, original content, and other protected material, except for content expressly identified as third-party or licensed under separate terms.
8. User-provided content
Most default products do not host public user-generated content. If you provide content to support or to a product feature that requires processing outside your device, you represent that you have the rights needed to provide it. Product-specific terms may apply if a future product introduces uploading, sharing, or public content.
9. Third-party services
Our products may rely on Apple, Google, hosting, crash-reporting, or other service providers. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. Concepts Refinery is not responsible for third-party services outside our control, subject to rights that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Product outputs and disclaimers
Small utilities and games are provided for their stated consumer purpose. Product-specific informational, financial, health, historical, AI, or other disclaimers apply only when the product actually needs them. Do not rely on a general-purpose calculator or informational tool as a substitute for professional advice when the decision requires professional judgment.
11. Availability and changes
We may update, improve, discontinue, or replace a product or feature where permitted by law. We do not promise that every product or service will remain available forever. Paid-product rights are also governed by the applicable app-store terms and non-waivable consumer law.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our products are provided on an “as available” basis without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. This clause does not remove statutory guarantees or consumer rights that apply regardless of contract language.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Concepts Refinery will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of a product. Any limitation is subject to mandatory consumer protections and other liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
14. Suspension and termination
We may restrict access to a service for unlawful use, security threats, abuse, or material violation of these Terms where the product architecture allows restriction. You may stop using a product at any time. Local copies of an app may remain on your device until removed.
15. Governing law
For disputes where a choice of law is legally permitted, these Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections, remedies, or venue rights that apply under the law of the place where the consumer lives.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as products or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. If law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, we will provide it.
